24 hour appointment scheduling

If you are in need of urgent care, please contact our office and speak to a staff member or our answering service. Please let them know that you are need of urgent care, and we will do our best to accommodate you. However, if you feel that you are in need of emergency care please go to the hospital and have the hospital contact our office.

 

 

Appointment Scheduling

  • Please call our office to schedule appointments at (718) 949-0146 or (516)794-2200.
  • Same day sick visits are offered for adults, children and infants.
  • If the office is closed our answering service will schedule you for the next available appointment.
  • Please make sure to tell the receptionist whether you are a "New Patient" or "Existing Patient", and let them know if you are in need of urgent care.

 

Please Note: HMO patients must select Dr. Reed or Dr. Dickson as their Primary Care Provider ("PCP") at least 24 hours prior to the actual appoint or provide proof to our reception desk upon registration.

 

Telephone Calls

  • Our peak call volume occurs daily between 8 am - 10:30 am. In order to expedite your call, we ask that you contact us after 10:30 to schedule all routine or non-urgent appointments.
  • Answers to routine questions, prescription refills, and non-emergency calls are returned the same day you call, as time permits. Urgent messages are answered as soon as possible.
  • A physician is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week for emergencies.

 

After Hours

For emergencies, patients may contact our on-call physician by dialing (718) 949-0146. For scheduling or routine questions, please call during regular office hours.

 

New Patients

All New Patients must provide the following information:
  • Patient's Name
  • Patient's Date of Birth
  • Patient's Insurance Plan
  • The name of the Insurer - the person responsible for payment of the insurance
  • Reason for the appointment request
  • Immediate phone number
  • Alternate phone number

 

Existing Patients

All Existing Patients must provide the following information:
  • Patient's Name
  • Patient's Insurance Plan
  • Reason for the appointment request
  • Immediate phone number
  • Alternate phone number

 

Payment Policies

MS Family accepts the following methods of payment:
  • Cash
  • Personal Check (for established patients)
  • Credit Card
  • Discover
  • MasterCard
  • Visa
  • American Express

If your insurance requires a co-pay, it is due at the time of service (the date of your appointment.)

If your physician does not participate with your insurance carrier, it is your responsibility to pay at the time of service.

Our office will be glad, at your request, to submit any charges to your insurance carrier in these circumstances, but your carrier will in return reimburse you for the eligible amount.

This is the reason we ask you to pay us directly.
